Elizabeth Zias, M.A.Ed, OTR/L, SWC (650-694-4667), graduated from San Jose State University in 1989 with a B.S in Occupational Therapy.  In 2007, she obtained a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education with an emphasis on autism spectrum disorders from Santa Clara University.  She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, in-home, public and private schools and therapy clinics.  She worked at the Children’s Heath Council from 2002-2011, providing evaluation and treatment for children with gross and fine motor, visual motor and visual perceptual, sensory processing, feeding and self-care difficulties.   While at CHC, she collaborated with a variety of professionals on multi-disciplinary teams and provided clinical supervision to both the occupational therapy staff and occupational therapy intern students.  Elizabeth also developed the SPOT (speech pathology and occupational therapy) preschool social skills program and co-led the program with speech therapists.  To continue her expertise with young children, she obtained a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education at Santa Clara University with a special emphasis on autism spectrum disorders in 2007.  She holds an Advanced Practice Certificate in Swallowing Assessment and Intervention (SWC) and has lectured in the occupational therapy program at San Jose State University.
